Armidale [Apr. 8th, 2005|10:44 pm]

[Current Mood |sleepysleepy]

The interview yesterday was based around the fact that the interviewing person (agency) used to work for the agency I have been contracting for and which I have chosen as my company of choice for Assignment 1 and also the Research Project at the University of New England..

As there have been no job offers I've decided to head up to Armidale where the University is located for the two day optional Residential School for this subject (to be held Tuesday and Wednesday). I've booked the train trip out for Monday. It's an 8 hour Countrylink trip from Sydney and an 8 hour trip back on Thursday. The University have booked me into accommodation at "the Earle Page College". I hope I can find my way easily from the railway station to the Earle Page College and from the college (where I sleep) to the Faculty of Economics, Business and Law which might be some distance away.

I pay for the accommodation but the as I'm a disadvantaged person with an appropriate concession card the return trip on the train is free. It will take me an hour to get to Sydney Central so it's more like a 10 hour train trip.

I have spoken to my job-network member and have been exempted from job-search activities for the coming week.
