I know I have a B&W photo of myself in that particular Ontario National Park at the moment of the lunar landing. I was much younger, somewhat naive and as thin as a rake
and I found it this evening and scanned it for the Internet...
Somewhere in a park not too far from Toronto Ontario Canada July 1969
Me (Bob Bain) moments before the Lunar Landing believed to be July 20th. 1969. Pictured Barry's children and his "Olds"mobile. If you want to know what I was doing in my suit and tie in a fairly remote part of Ontario I believe I was doing something clever with a maple leaf. It could be otherwise. Who knows. I know this is where I listened to a live radio account of the moon landing July 20th. 1969 (according to Wikipedia).
There's lots of nostalgic photographs in my goodie bag. Behind the cut tag me and mum in England late 1980s or early 1990s
There's no order to the pictures in my goodie bag which range from pictures in Senegal to the outskirts of the Sahara desert. Some photographs taken in South Africa were spoiled by the processing lab. They documented some of the "more interesting" features of Apartheid in South Africa. I was told it was one of those rare mistakes that processing laboratories make.
Do I believe that ?
Yeah sure !!
I feel my age (somewhat long in the tooth) and the process of maturing and aging when I view these pictures.
