I'm on a course regrading "Rolling Forecasts" all day tomorrow and may attend the evening session of the NIA Nepean User Group at Penrith RSL later in the evening. If I do I might see if they are still censoring YouTube.
Interesting course given there was direct reference to software I am familiar with and conducted by someone who is Vice President of of Major Accounting Body. He noted that he will shortly be taking up a position for the Government of Iran in Tehran ( introducing them to Activity Based Costing ).
As for "censoring YouTube" - Penrith RSL run an commercial kiosk and the link is here (click here). This is the Home Page for $2 per 15 minutes kiosk web surfers at Penrith RSL. Yes. The YouTube link worked (at the club) this evening. Last time I was at the club the YouTube link failed.
The Nepean group had a speaker (a lawyer) conversant (or attempting to appear conversant) in relation to the Rudd Labor Government's changes to Workchoices which possibly lost John Howard the Federal Election last year. He did note that the old system of "industrial awards" which had been in existence since the last century was a poor model given that earch award arose from settling industrial disputes. Under the new government the old litigation awards will I understand it be replaced with carefully crafted words but nothing will happen until 2010.
The multitude of sex shops known to sell illegal videotapes in the High Street were closed. This wan't action by the police. It was late at night and the owners had gone home.
