I understand from the ABC news this evening that this particular art work has been exhibited for a number of years without so much as a single complaint.

If the Prime Minister of Australia finds this revolting I believe he needs to re-evaluate his outlook on life or return to the State of Queensland.

i cannot imagine how anybody other than a hysterical prude - the sort of person who believes that, if people were supposed to go naked, they'd be born that way - could find anything objectionable in that picture. the serious expression on the little girl's face, and the contrast between the photograph and the impressionistically painted background, suggest that she is concentrating as hard as she can on imagining herself at the seashore. and she's alone there - no predators or perverts, not even another child to compare bits with, nor tiresome aunties to tell her to put some clothes on at once.

one of these days, i'm going to take my aging, sagging, overweight, flabby body, slather it with a couple of liters of SPF 50+ sunblock, and visit the clothing-optional beach (adminstered by the US Parks Department) a couple of kilometers away.
