|Confusing day at Centrelink
||[Nov. 14th, 2003|11:57 pm]
I had a confusing day at Centrelink today. When I presented my form I was told that my payments were suspended and that somebody would explain it to me. It seems the computer didn't have me registered so a lady kindly filled in the relevant details with an implied promise that I will be paid on Monday. I explained that all these details should already be there.
There was some debate about $104.50 which the computer says I received last week as an "educational supplement". I explained that I'm on "Newstart" and that despite the computer's assurance that $104.50 was paid into my account last Monday I hadn't seen it and have no knowledge of why Centrelink would be paying me an educational supplement.
The kind lady hit all the "right" keys but was hindered by a flag prohibiting her from lodging the form. I asked what the flag was and why it was there. She didn't seem to know but she assured me that by the end of the day this "flag" would be gone and that I WILL be paid on Monday.
I saw the doc to replenish my blood pressure tablets. His lab results indicated that the sores on my hand were in no way related to Herpes and that he has no idea why I would have developed them.
I'll be looking closely at my bank account on Monday.
