Queen don't like cats silly old boot. Her corgis bite members of the royal household and wee on them but they have to put up with it because she is the Queen. Also, people who like dogs are silly about them.

'He's only playing' they say as dog goes for your throat.

Jenny just wondered whether anyone has written a piece of music about model railways. Plenty has been composed for/about real railways.

Bob notes that Kevin Rudd met the Queen and they discussed the weather.

Australia's republican prime minister steered away from politics and chatted about the weather as he met the Queen for the first time since taking office. Kevin Rudd was granted an audience at Windsor Castle as part of his official visit to Britain. The Queen spent 55 minutes speaking privately with the Australian leader in the castle's White Drawing Room before they were joined by Mr Rudd's wife, Therese Rein. The monarch was wearing a brooch depicting Australia's national flower, the wattle, a gift from the people of Australia in 1953. It was pinned to a fawn coloured jacket. Earlier, Mr Rudd re-asserted his preference for an Australian republic, but on greeting the Queen he chose to stick to a lighter topic of conversation. As they headed into the meeting, they discussed Britain's unseasonably cold weather, with Mr Rudd remarking the recent snow was "extraordinary". Mr Rudd had said earlier that a referendum on removing the Queen as Australia's head of state was not a "top order priority" for the country. He said: "We have other fish to fry right now in terms of priorities back home. But once a republican, always a republican." But he said in the course of the next year there would be an "accelerated public debate" about the issue in Australia.

The Queen was last in Australia in March 2006 when she opened the Commonwealth Games.

Dieu protège la reine
De sa main souveraine!
Vive la reine!
Qu'un règne glorieux,
Long et victorieux
Rende son peuple heureux.
Vive la reine!

puns on the name of the wife of our national leader entirely intentional
