Christmas (Boxing Day) into New Year

I spent Christmas Day at home but on Boxing Day spent three days in Katoomba with my painter friend from NEIS (New Enterprise Incentive Scheme). This is from his blog and is hanging on the wall in his increasingly comfortable lounge room

Damien told of his increasing involvement with rowing in Bathurst via an affiliation with a person with an Order of Australia medal.

I had a phone call from David Duffy of the Fellowship of the Round Table reminding me that the next meeting of the Fellowship is on January 19th. and that it would be useful for me to share my insights into the proposed topic for a possible March forum on the topic of Peak Oil

I am seemingly regarded as Acting Secretary for the Fellowship at the present moment.

"Peak Oil" was suggested as a topic by one of the two videographers at the November 24th. forum at Parliament House (with key speaker Tim Priest - author of the book "Enemies of the State"). As part of my research into that topic ("Politics and the Police") I attended a Liberal Party gala dinner in Fairfield on November 19th where I shook hands with the current leader of the opposition in New South Wales Barry O'Farrell and was introduced to "the next Treasurer of New South Wales" Mike Baird. Also present were various luminaries of the State and Federal Liberal Party.
