Werrington protected by Dreamtime spirits.. [Nov. 1st, 2007|04:07 pm]

Here in Werrington we are protected by pre-Celtic pre-Christian spirits of "The Dreamtime"

Werrington protected by dreamtime spirits...

"Aboriginal people say that is Dreamtime energy, the Rainbow Serpent spirit energy. Your Christ Energy is pure, powerful, new energy. Is new energy. It is not the same as Dreamtime energy, but it is powerful, but it is not his business. It is not Wharumbidgi's business to speak on the Christ Energy. Christ was not part of the Dreamtime. Christ was not in Aboriginal Dreamtime. It is new energy, new spirit. Many people were murdered, many Aboriginal people were murdered in the name of Christ, and it is very difficult for old Aboriginal people to use that name as a healing energy because of the destruction that was done in that name. Wharumbidgi says it is not his business."

"There are other serious, much more serious Aboriginal energy sites on the property here, which brother John knows - the corroboree site, which is serious business for men. But here is happy, joy, much joy here. Happy where we came to sit and greet our brothers and sisters in the Dreamtime, and live in the Dreamtime. You do not understand - your time is not the same time as our time. There was no time for Aboriginals. You have day and week and month. There is no days, weeks and months for Aboriginal people. We lived in eternal time. The full moon was our time. The seasons come and the seasons went, and my father got old and died, and my son grew up. But there was no time like your time. Happy time here, this place here was happy time. When you come here you should feel our joy here. We had so much happiness here till the white man come, and much trouble with him. Brother John and sister Lee and brother Charles are helping to lift the bad energy from here. Once the bad energy is gone, your Christ will come, and His White Power, the White Power will come. But you will never forget the joy here, the nature spirits here."

Land and trees are sacred to the indigenous people of this land. Prior to Captain Cook most of the population were naked (as besuits the climate) and felt no sin (until the Europeans came).

Halloween is almost unknown in Australia and there are no tricks or treats or people dressing in the tails or horns of beasts.

it wouldn't make any sense for people in Australia to celebrate Halloween/Samhain (any version, pagan, Christian, or secular) on 31 October, because this time is halfway between Spring and Summer for you - the energy is that of growing and ripening, not that of harvesting and storing-up. you should be celebrating the equivalent to May Day/Beltane, dancing with flowers in your hair. however, dewhitton, in Dubbo, had at least one Trick-or-Treater.

the indigenous people would not celebrate Samhain (or Beltane, for that matter) either. they were hunter-gatherers, not agrarian people, and their perceptions of the seasons were aligned with their way of life. when the weather got colder or hotter, rainier or drier, they walked from where they were to somewhere else that was suitable for the season, and accepted whatever Nature gave them. maybe their ancient spiritual ways have to change... but it's still a very bad idea to piss off their ancestors.

There was seemingly some Halloween hooliganism at the Gold Coast in Queensland last night. A search on "Halloween" at http://news.google.com will bring up all sorts of oddities including it being banned in Russia (due to the secular nature of the education system), Halloween pumpkins being taxed as they aren't considered foodstuffs and sex offenders being prohibited from Halloween activities in California and South Carolina.

Halloween crowds horrify many in Massachusetts city famous for witches
By Erin Ailworth The Boston GlobePublished: October 31, 2007

SALEM, Massachusetts: Revelry at odds with Salem's rich heritage

The broomstick-riding mistress of Halloween is everywhere in this city of witches: on the police cruisers' emblem, the high school mascot, and the masthead of a local newspaper. Visitors can buy Witch City shot glasses and pointy hats; visit The Witch House, the city-owned home of a witch trials judge; or buy Wychcraft beer.

The President of Ecaudor has condemned it but the Mexicans (who have their own "day of the dead") have seemingly revelled in it.

There were over 50,000 list news items when I started looking. It's now down to 49.998.

Nothing ghoulish happened in Werrington. As for Mr. Whitton - Den has bats in the belfry doesn't he ? :-)

because the secular celebration of Halloween overwhelmingly involves children, registered sex offenders are prohibited from participating in the festivities, lest they use a costume to help them interact inappropriately with children.

i don't think Den has a belfry - i think he keeps his bats in the spare bedroom.
