I saw my job network member yesterday and was advised to take the medical certificate that states that I am considered to be unfit to work more than 8 hours per week to Centrelink which I did.

Centrelink have arranged an appointment with their Work Capacity people (Monday) to determine what form of assistance is considered to be appropriate under the circumstances, noting that there are alternatives to the Job Network member system.

Payments under the NewStart allowance will continue and there is no compulsion to fill in a form until September.

This is an expt to see if yo get it. Things look moving sensibly for you - unless you are gagging to work more than 8 hrs a week. Do you have the option? 8 hours seems a small number seeing as you wre full time. Would you have to option to work more if you wnted to, and job comes up? Trevor
