Billie Holiday (Lady Sings the Blues) "Fine and Mellow" - with Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster, Gerry Mulligan, Roy Eldridge, Vic Dickenson and the legendary Lester Young. ( 7 minutes )

(Classic Blues) Facial Expressions tell a lot .....

Thelonious Monk - "Blue Monk" (I have always liked that) :-) ( 2 minutes )

Thelonious Monk - "Blue Monk" with Charlie Rouse on Tenor Sax (10 minutes) .... turn volume down to avoid distortion.

"Strange Fruit" - Vocal by Billie Holiday - the words say quite a bit ! (not melodious - not pretty at all ! )

( 2 minutes )

I am truly amazed at the sheer volume of vintage jazz recordings on You Tube. The quality varies enormously. Some vintage jazz video have been viewed close to 70,000 times

Spoke to Trevor for 3 hours over Skype this evening.
