Job Search [May. 27th, 2005|06:46 pm]

[Current Mood |busybusy]

I had an interview with an agency in the city yesterday (although nothing came of that) and a second agency followed through with the prospects of a 3 to 4 month contract role and I went for an evening interview for that. The phone rang while with both agencies regarding other possible roles. I have had quite a few emails saying "no" (including the job in Canberra).

It appears the client represented by the second agency are interested but have restructured the contract role slightly to minimise their risk in areas where I may not perform but seek to take advantage of my technical skills. I sign a contract on Monday afternoon and should (gods be willing) commence at 9am on Tuesday morning.

The pay is quite a bit higher than the temp roles I've had in the past and is considered "a senior position".

It's a fair distance from Werrington but a straight run (express train) from door to door.

I'm doing as much exam revision as possible. The exam is at 9.15 on the 27th. June. Assignment 1 should be returned (marked) after June 3rd.

If the contract role is 4 months it will "eat into" the first part of Semester 2 in which I will be studying "Small Business Finance".
