Wikipedia - Silver Spoon (link)

The English language expression silver spoon is an expression for family wealth; someone born into a wealthy family is said to have "been born with a silver spoon in his (or her) mouth". In Australia the expression "silvertail" is also often used, although it has an almost identical meaning.

I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I do have a couple of spoons but wooden spoons are for "stirring".

If mum were alive she'd be 99 years old today.
