NEIS starts tomorrow.. [Mar. 5th, 2008|05:10 pm]

My obligation to NEIS (New Enterprise Incentive Scheme) starts tomorrow with the first NEIS payment paid by the Department of Workplace Relations two weeks from now.

This means I have to adhere to the Business Plan agreed to by the NEIS board on 18th. February. This isn't "automatic" as the rejection of the application by my painter friend from Blackheath indicates - although it has been suggested that very few people who make it to the interview panel get rejected. I assisted the painter from Blackheath as far as I could but he has no computer, is being evicted from his home, has had his phone cut off for non payment and is struggling in many other ways that I can't possibly mention in this posting.

This means an obligation on my part to incorporate a company (done) and loan the company a sum of money (done) and then begin research activities as defined in the business plan and then research the market with a view to finding clients. All activities will be both mentored and monitored by the DEWR.

I have the Optus bill for calling Trevor via POTS. On 26th December we spoke for 1 hour and 59 minutes which cost $13.83. On 21st. January we spoke for 1 hour and 56 minutes which cost $13.35. On the 25th. February I called but there was no answer and I was charged 37 cents for 4 seconds listening to an answering machine "BT answer phone" (or something).

I have on-line business banking with the Bank of Western Australia (no clients but I have banking facilities). They sent me a gizmo that broadcasts a new password every 60 seconds. This has to be combined with two other pieces of information to log-on to their banking facilities.

I have ordered a BOPO card for use with the On-line business banking facility. This is a top-up and use VISA card and only works if it's topped up with money. Fees are deducted in accordance with their schedule of fees at the time of the transaction.
