Xmas Eve (thoughts at the end of the day) [Dec. 24th, 2007|07:07 pm]

In the last posting today I wrote:-

The night before I had a vivid dream of an image of a king in a castle even though I had no thoughts of taking a round trip to Sweden and the castle at Helsingør (Denmark) which was shut although the grounds were open (and very very spooky).

I felt very strongly at that time that if the castle had been open somewhere inside the castle would be an image of the king that featured in my dream. As the castle wasn't open to visitors I didn't get to enter the castle but I still felt (very strongly) that inside I would find an image of the king. Now we have the Internet .....

Kronborg Castle and Holger Danske

midway down the page there is a second image of a king..

In the catacombs you find one of the major Danish heroes - Holger Danske, or Ogier the Dane, mentioned in chapter 24 of "Legends Of Charlemagne" or "Romance Of The Middle Ages" by Thomas Bulfinch.

That image is very similar to the image in the dream - although in the dream the image of the king was coloured and I seem to recall a sword. It was a very vivid image.

Am I skeptical ? Indeed I am but there have been numerous instances of this kind - although in recent years this power of imagery has diminished. It was always more pronounced when outside the built up areas of Sydney and this includes Tasmania and parts of Queensland. Dunno. It's just an observation.

Seasons greetings and merrie canaries !
