Shiny new government .. [Dec. 3rd, 2007|07:01 am]
Bob Bain
[Current Mood |anxiousanxious]

The new government of Australia will be sworn in this morning and start work in the afternoon.

I'm not sure whether I should be pleased or offer prayers that we be delivered from salvation.

On the subject of Salvation I have been given two free booklets - one called "Awake" and the other "The Watchtower - Announcing Jehovah's Kingdom."

The first deals with "trust" around the topic "Can you trust the Bible?" and the second "A Meaningful Life is Possible!"

I had to ask the man at the door if he was from the Jehovah's Witness people or the Mormons. The Mormons (two Americans on bicycles with very short hair) cycle around Werrington providing inspiration and suggestions on the meaning of life to those who wish to receive the message. I don't think I could become a Mormon as they frown on coffee and NOTHING in this world will cure my lifetime addiction to coffee.

If God don't like coffee drinkers I reckon heaven sucks !

I am up to Chapter 4 in my MYOB book.

if they give you pamphlets, especially "The Watchtower", they're Jehovah's Witnesses. if they want to give you a copy of the Book of Mormon, they're Mormons.

another clue is the kind of people who are performing this missionary work. if there are two young men wearing white shirts with ties, they're Mormons. if there are two or three people, at least one of whom is a woman, they're Jehovah's Witnesses.
