Today is the second time I've take the bike for a ride. I am now aware of how many gears there are on the front and how many gears there are on the back. I have discovered uncharted territory beyond McDonald's and that the bike's bell doesn't ring. I've also discovered saddle soreness (rediscovered). I'm sure I took a picture of the bike parked in the kitchen alcove but I can't have pressed the "take photo" button. I have also discovered hills (around Claremont Meadows). Claremont Meadows is uncharted territory. Future rides will possibly allow me to explore Claremont Meadows and beyond. I must take care not to run down pedestrians and to be careful around traffic. There's plenty of pathways (cycling lanes) where people walk and cycle. I can cycle to MacDonald's very easily. I rode into St. Marys today. I've notched up just under 3 hours on the bike I believe. After 6 weeks use the store check the bike over for free. I have been told to keep the saddle low until I get used to the feel of the machine.
I am definitely not in training for the Tour de' France.
