Libs fake pamphlets target Labor
Two Liberal Party members have been expelled and three others banned from the campaign after being caught distributing fake Labor Party pamphlets in Lindsay.
In a complaint letter to the Australian Electoral Commission the ALP have pinpointed retired Lindsay MP Jackie Kelly's husband, Gary Clark, NSW Liberal Party state executive member Jeff Egan and Glenmore Park Action Group president Troy Craig for distributing the pamphlets.
They were among the group of five caught and photographed handing out the pamphlets by Labor members on Tuesday night.
The fake pamphlets claimed to be from the "Islamic Australia Federation" and carried the ALP logo.
The flyers praised the ALP for supporting the Bali bombers and also mentioned the party's support a mosque to be built in St Marys.
The Star will update the story as more details come to hand.
The Daily Telegraph this morning has pictures and an editorial. It was seemingly a mail drop in the early hours of the morning with the husband of Jackie Kelly (the local retiring member) holding what is alleged to be a fake leaflet to his head in an apparent attempt to hide his face.
