I tested my Windows 2000 mcahine yesterday to see if the CD drive on that machine would read all of Alan's archive disk. It didn't. In fact it came nowhere near reading the images that the USB (Sony) DVD drive does. All readers appear able to read the Charlie (the cat) directory which I am starting to believe lies in the centre of the disk. I have some olde olde CD/DVD readers (one of which no doubt once read the entire disk). I attempted to hook these up via USB but there is no response from the computer meaning the USB/IDE case is no doubt faulty. I can explore this option later on.
I have continued with my Technical Analysis studies in readiness for the exam on April 4th. On Tuesday I purchased (at great cost now I have no income) a book with audio/visual tutorials in the subject. This was $52.95. http://www.pring.com
FINSA have also put some tutorials for the subject on-line together with powerpoint slides that can be downloaded.
Here's a link for Trevor (and anyone else) who asks why I take blood pressure seriously.
link to Wikipedia article..
"This is a terrible disorder in which the aortic aneurysm swells."
"Medical therapy of aortic aneurysms involves strict blood pressure control. This does not treat the aortic aneurysm per se, but control of hypertension within tight blood pressure parameters may decrease the rate of expansion of the aneurysm."
Note: As there has been no expansion since diagnosis (five to six years ago) there is no panic at the moment (sigh) and I can live normally.
I am encouraged to do so.
